"Hostile aircraft infiltration" triggers sirens in Israel
As reported, the alerts prompted millions of citizens throughout Israel to rush into shelters in response to the perceived aerial threat. Warnings specifically about drone activity were heard in Nazareth and nearby towns, according to regional coverage.
Earlier, defense forces confirmed that the Israeli Air Force had intercepted a drone launched from Iranian territory during the night, which had caused sirens to sound across parts of northern Israel. A subsequent drone was also taken down in the Jordan Valley shortly after the first.
These developments come amid rapidly intensifying regional conflict. The situation began to worsen last Friday when Israel conducted air raids targeting various locations across Iran, including areas identified as military and nuclear-related. In response, Tehran launched counterstrikes.
Authorities in Israel reported that Iranian missile strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 24 people and injuries to hundreds more. In contrast, according to Iranian media coverage, Israel’s offensive has led to the deaths of 585 individuals in Iran, with more than 1,300 reported wounded.
