Iran Unleashes Fresh Missile Barrage at Israel
Following the missile launches from Iran, air raid sirens sounded across the greater Tel Aviv region, according to a military announcement.
An Israeli broadcaster stated that the Israeli army managed to intercept every missile fired by Iran during this attack.
The broadcaster noted that between five and seven missiles were launched, with some falling before reaching their targets and the remainder successfully intercepted.
Israeli army radio indicated this was Iran’s first missile barrage in the past 18 hours.
Later, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps declared, “The 12th wave of ‘Operation True Promise 3’ has begun, with the launch of super-heavy, long-range, two-stage Sejjil missiles,” as reported by an Iranian news agency.
The Israeli military also announced it intercepted a drone in southern Golan shortly after sirens were activated due to its infiltration near the Ramat Magshimim settlement.
Tensions in the region have surged since Friday, when Israel conducted airstrikes on several Iranian sites, including military and nuclear facilities, provoking retaliatory missile attacks from Tehran.
Israeli officials have reported at least 24 fatalities and hundreds of injuries resulting from Iranian missile strikes since the escalation began.
Meanwhile, Iranian media report that 585 people have been killed and over 1,300 wounded in the Israeli air assaults on Iran.
