Republicans support Trump with US to attack Iran
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, Trump said he had not yet made a decision about military intervention, stating, "I’d make the decision one second before." This uncertainty—whether intentional or a reflection of his often-unpredictable nature—was welcomed by several Republican lawmakers, who continued to express serious concerns about Iran's nuclear ambitions, according to reports.
Senator Lindsey Graham, who has long supported a strong military posture, expressed his agreement with the use of force if diplomatic solutions do not work. "Either you want them to have a nuclear weapon, or you don’t," he said. "And if you don’t, if diplomacy fails, you use force."
Senator John Kennedy also described the situation as urgent, saying, "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, or the ability to deliver a nuclear warhead, period." He described his support for Trump's position as "unconditional."
Senator Mike Rounds acknowledged that Israel might be able to handle the threat on its own but argued that US military options should still be on the table. He said such capabilities should remain "available to the president in exercising his authority as the commander-in-chief."
