Drone Crash in Jordan Leaves Child Injured
According to the PSD statement, the first drone incident took place in a commercial zone of northern Amman, where it struck a civilian car and a bus stop shelter. No one was harmed in this event.
Later, the second drone fell in the Azraq District, injuring the young girl and damaging three homes along with two vehicles.
Investigations by security and military authorities are currently underway for both crashes.
These events follow multiple reports received by the PSD since last Friday involving falling objects believed to be debris from Iranian missiles. A news agency confirmed that on Saturday, five people sustained injuries when one such object hit a residence in the northern city of Irbid.
The spate of incidents has unfolded amid escalating regional conflict, sparked by Israel’s large-scale airstrikes targeting Iranian sites starting Friday.
In reaction to the intensifying situation, Jordan has repeatedly closed its airspace and intercepted aerial threats over its borders, stressing that the Kingdom refuses to become a "battlefield" for any faction.
The PSD has warned citizens to stay vigilant and avoid contact with any suspicious debris, highlighting the risks involved.
