Firecracker Factory Explosion Kills 2, Injures 3 in India
(MENAFN) At least two individuals lost their lives and three others were injured in a powerful explosion at a firecracker factory in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, according to a local police officer.
The factory was reportedly run out of a residential building, the police confirmed. The blast caused a section of the factory’s roof to collapse, trapping five people beneath the rubble.
During ongoing rescue efforts, two bodies were recovered, while three injured victims were pulled from the debris and taken to a nearby hospital. Their conditions were reported as stable.
The explosion also caused damage to several surrounding homes.
